The Industry Barn Door combines a rustic and industrial look that pairs well with modern style. This barn door is made with a sheet of raw steel (see note above and additional photos about what to expect with raw steel) covering the entire exterior face of the door while the core and edge of the door is wood. This results in a lighter weight steel door that conforms with standard barn door specifications while removing the necessity of weld marks around all sides of the door's edges. Paying homage to the hardworking artists of the industrial era, this barn door's metal exterior sheeting is raw steel with natural steel blemishes, natural raw steel character (includes scratches and "dings", and variations in the steel color and uniformity of color. This door is made from raw rolled steel and will show all the characteristics unique to raw steel including tones ranging from light grey, blue tones to dark grey, almost black.  There may also be variations and irregularities (some may call them scratches or dings, but they add to the character or each door) that are actually part of the raw rolled steel sheeting and unique to every door.  If you are expecting a very clean, uniform, almost painted steel look, this door may not be for you.  While it is possible to get steel sheets without character and personality, it is uncommon.  If you like the industrial, variable, look of raw steel, ranging from plain, the lots of character and a variety of colors, or possibly no variation at all,  you will love the Industrial Barn Door.  This door does have a light clear coat on it, but like all steel there is a possibility of the development of oxidation, and ultimately rust, with exposure to moister and humidity.
